Rendezvous VII
September 12th, 2026
This season’s Rendezvous Art event was one for the record. The diverse layers of gallery artwork, site-specific installations, wood-fired soup, community and good spirit came together for a memorable celebration of Skagit Valley’s creative bounty.
25 visual artists exhibited a curation of work indoors and out, large and small. With the wood-fired soup cauldron positioned as “the Sun”, 9 artists created an interpretation of the solar system’s 8 planets to scale and orientation with each other in the sky on the night of the opening. Hundreds of guests ventured up our mountain road by car, foot and shuttle bus to explore the work in the shop, gallery and orbit about the grounds in search of 2” Mercury, 60” Jupiter or far off frozen Neptune.
An outstanding cook team prepared a harvest vegetable stew, fresh baked flatbread & garlic aioli. Our resident potter threw beautiful soup bowls to purchase as event support, a planetary piñata was smashed, fresh apple cider was pressed, a "Gift Shop” of inexpensive artworks was up in the loft, and a 25ft, 1,500lb necklace made of vintage traffic signals was suspended high in the trees.
Thank you to all of the artists, curators, support team, cooks, Dj’s and this inspired community from the Valley and beyond!
